Aircraft Landing Gear Uplocks
Retractable aircraft landing gear systems utilize uplock assemblies to mechanically lock the landing gear in its stowed position during flight. This is done to prevent the landing gear from prematurely deploying due to a hydraulic system failure in the aircraft. Aircraft landing gear uplocks consist of a hydraulically actuated mechanical hook system that latches the landing gear in place and unlocks the landing gear during landing so it can be deployed. Sargent’s experience in hydraulic actuation and component manufacturing makes Sargent a logical choice to design and manufacture complete uplock mechanisms for the associated hydraulic components. Sargent engineers often work with our customers to help define specifications.
If you have questions about uplock mechanisms for your project, Sargent is happy to help. Contact Sargent to speak with an experienced applications engineer.
