Aircraft Hydraulic Relief Valves
Hydraulic systems in aerospace applications operate at high pressures and sensitive components can fail quickly when subject to higher than normal pressures. Hydraulic relief valves are designed to open at higher than normal system pressures bypassing fluid from the system and thereby reducing hydraulic pressure to sensitive downstream components. Only after the system pressure has been reduced to a predetermined safe level will the relief valve close. Sargent’s experience with hydraulic systems provides a strong basis from which to support aircraft, spacecraft, and aerospace relief valve requirements. Sargent engineers routinely work with our customers to help define specifications if necessary.
If you have questions about hydraulic relief valves for your project, Sargent is happy to help. Contact Sargent to speak with an experienced applications engineer.
