West Coast Sales Manager
Position Summary Provide regional leadership of the business development function for Sargent Controls & Aerospace in order to achieve customer service, market share and profit objectives. Position is responsible to work with Group Business Development Director and Business Unit leadership to achieve ever increasing levels of sales growth, customer satisfaction, and financial performance within his/her assigned region and accounts. The position requires operating with a team on the basis of mutual trust and respect and creating a culture of continuous improvement. |

Requirements: |
|
|
|
* Bachelors Degree in Engineering * 10 years experience in Aerospace product-related sales and marketing o Experienced in Specialty Bearings, Hydraulic Controls, and Specialty Fasteners |
|
|
|
Preferred Qualifications/Experience: |
|
|
|
* Experience servicing major accounts within assigned territory, including, but not limited to the following: o Lockheed Martin o Northrop
Grumman o Boeing
Long Beach & o GE
Aerospace o Goodrich o Honeywell |

|
Responsibilities: |
|
|
|
* Manage customer relationships within assigned territory and accounts to defend and grow business. * Interface with inside sales groups to ensure timely response to customer requests. * Ensure divisions meet and exceed customer quality and delivery metrics. * Works closely with Business Development leadership to identify and support Group synergies. * In cooperation with Business Development leadership, develops marketing plan and the strategies, tactics necessary to achieve sales and marketing goals for assigned territory and accounts. * Within customer accounts, develop an organization chart that identifies key buying influences for each division, within Engineering, Procurement, and Management. * Working with Sales team, gathers and provides market intelligence. * Supports a system-wide marketing reporting function that can track, measure, and analyze performance. * Coordinates marketing efforts within territory and accounts to meet strategic plans and objectives. * Makes customer presentations to explain the Company’s products and services. * Supports Sargent at trade show activities. * Develops and maintains strong relations with customers through consistent contact. *
Support Sargent Group Business Development
Process stage-gate parameter process to effectively filter RFQ’s to ensure effective bid/no bid decision, and that proposal
strategy meets requirements for associated Business Unit and Sargent. |
